About 40 regulars join us most Friday mornings for Footwork Fridays. The brisk walks from the Family Dollar Store parking lot to school start at 7:15, with the last departing around 7:45. Editors Note: This year The Pittsfield Schools have used federal stimulus money through the American Recovery and Revitalization Act to hire two one-year specialists who are charged with training teachers and supporting students who need extra help. Ms. Harvey, a fifth-grade classroom teacher with a graduate degree in mathematics is our new Math Lead Teacher….

Check out the new PES music website. Band lessons are underway and will run from 7:30-8:00 AM. Flute lessons will be on Monday, saxophones will meet on Tuesday, clarinets on Wednesday, and trumpets and percussion on Thursday. If you have any questions about band, please contact Mrs. O’Connor. The work of over 150 Pittsfield Elementary artists was on display at the Deerfield Fair last weekend. Pittsfield placed third out of 18 elementary schools that displayed are at the fair.
