Curriculum

In the navigation bar above, you can find a list of all the PMHS subject areas.  (Click on the three lines at the top left of your phone's screen or the "More" arrow to see all selections if you are unable to view them all. )  Click on the subject are to see the courses offered.  

These documents are written for educators but can also provide parents and community members with more specific course information.  The following is a brief description of the materials included in the “Core Documents” for each course:

• Course at a Glance:  sequence of units, including approximate timeframes, taught in a course

• Competencies and Rubrics:  list of competencies that must be met to “pass” a course, and assessment criteria for each

• Unit Plans:  Planning documents that include 

  • a summary of the unit 

  • competencies

  • key learning experiences 

  • information about differentiation, instructional, and assessment strategies

In addition to core documents, a few courses also have linked websites.    Teachers are just beginning to make resources such as practice pages, videos, and project descriptions available in Google resources folders for each course.

The PMHS Guidance Office page has links to our Program of Studies, which describes each course in more detail and explains expectations for various diploma pathways.
