{"id":130,"date":"2014-07-28T22:36:51","date_gmt":"2014-07-28T22:36:51","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/sau51.org\/pmhs\/2014\/07\/28\/student-led-conference\/"},"modified":"2014-07-28T22:36:51","modified_gmt":"2014-07-28T22:36:51","slug":"student-led-conference","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/sau51.org\/pmhs\/2014\/07\/28\/student-led-conference\/","title":{"rendered":"Student-led Conferences"},"content":{"rendered":"<h3>Overview<\/h3>\n<p>In the fall of 2011 PMHS implemented student-led conferences (SLC) in grades 7-12.\u00a0 During the fall and spring, grade-level advisors facilitate a conference with each of their advisees and parents or guardians.\u00a0 Other relatives, peers, and\/or staff members are also invited to attend.<\/p>\n<h3>Purpose<\/h3>\n<p>The purpose of a student-led conference is for the student to take the lead role in a presentation that articulates his or her academic, personal and social growth.\u00a0 Each student creates a portfolio that contains a collection of work, reflections and evidence of their growth over time to be used as a communication tool regarding their learning.<\/p>\n<h3>Student and Teacher Resources<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/sau51.org\/pmhs\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/07\/SLC-Overview.pdf\">SLC Overview<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/sau51.org\/pmhs\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/07\/SLC-Task-List-Generic.pdf\">SLC Task List<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/sau51.org\/pmhs\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/07\/SLC-Letter.pdf\">SLC Sample Letter<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/sau51.org\/pmhs\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/07\/SLC-Sample-Agenda.pdf\">SLC Sample Agenda<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The sample letter and agenda may be customized to the grade level and\/or the student.
